Hoi! I'm Joost. I’m living in Paris, after having spent 8 years in Kenya and Senegal. From there, I traveled across 26 African nations as a correspondent and photographer.

In the past few years, I mainly worked for Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant. In addition, my work has been published by other Dutch and international media outlets like Trouw, National Geographic, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, The Economist, The New York Times, El País and Der Spiegel.
